2019

Our first Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc under our own label

Journal

Growing Season

A season of two halves with a relatively wet spring coupled with cool conditions through December and January time resulting in a very focused crop vintage.

January and February were extremely hot and dry resulting in a short time period between veraison and harvest delivering beautiful clean, ripe and concentrated fruit.

The growing season was the near inverse to the 2018 vintage!

Harvest

It was a condensed harvest covering just 20 days with the first pick on the 10th March and last on the 30th March. By variety was as below.

Chardonnay: 14th to the 25th March

Chenin Blanc: 23rd to the 30th March

Pinot Noir: 10th to the 26th March
